Graham McTavish and Sam Heughan in Men In Kilts

We just can’t distract for a moment to celebrate the holidays that STARZ throws us another bomb, surreptitiously by releasing the official trailer and premiere date for Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam & Graham. February 14, 2021, save the date!

As Sam Heughan said in a recent interview with TV Insider, his main objective in this 2020 was preparing himself for filming Men In Kilts with his friend Graham Mctavish. Grew from Heughan and McTavish’s initial idea for a podcast that delves into all things Scottish, the docuseries tells the story of Heughan and Mctavish’s road trip around Scotland, exploring the history, culture, and the most beautiful landscapes. On this hilarious journey they wrote their book Clanlands. Sam says laughing that shooting the series made him find out his actually good driving skills, even if the series will probably show the opposite.

“Driving a camera van with Graham ranting by my side and a filming crew with us could be a pretty intense experience but I loved being part of such a creative process, since the very beginnings of production. […] If the season will appreciated and fans will enjoy our roadtrip, there will perhaps be a chance to make another one soon!”

The show promises “a celebration of Scottish history and culture as Heughan and McTavish take viewers along on their adventures, discovering the rich, complex heritage of their native country, meeting various local artisans and experts, and experiencing genuine moments of awe and fascination as the duo share their travels with the audience.” as reported by TV Insider.

“The genuine curiosity and passion that Sam and Graham have for the landscapes and the stories they uncover while traveling through the heart of Scotland makes Men in Kilts a truly enjoyable journey of discovery. Starz programming president Christina Davis said. “The series gives context and texture to Highland life and history, woven together, much like the tartan for which Scotland is famousWe look forward to taking this road trip with these two great friends.”

To promote their docuseries, Outlander star Sam Heughan and his friend and co-star Graham McTavish shot a yule log video. Here the two Scots were reading some passages from Clanlands while having a dram of whisky by the fire.
