Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds know each other on the Green Lantern set. There was an instant spark on the set, but Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson at the time, while Lively was dating Gossip Girl colleague Penn Badgley.
In mid-September, Lively breaks up with Badgley. In December, Reynolds begins the divorce process.
2011
Blake’s dating Leonardo Di Caprio. Ryan’s single, and he’s happy that way. The two actors are spotted together on various red carpets and Hollywood events, on the occasion of the film’s release. In July, Ryan officially gets a divorce.
In October, the couple’s first rumors begin, after Lively is spotted leaving Reynolds’ apartment in Boston. During the following months, the two are seen together other times.
The two spend Christmas holidays with Ryan’s family in Vancouver.
2012
On September 9, Blake and Ryan get married at the Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, after a year of dating.
2013 – 2014
The couple continues to be spotted and participate in the red carpet as a married couple, making the world envy.
In October, the couple announced they were pregnant with their first child.
2015
In January, Blake gives birth to James, a beautiful little girl who arrived slightly early.
At one point in the middle of the delivery, the doctor’s cell phone went off and she said, ‘Oh, no. Go ahead, take a personal call. Feel free.’ She was cracking jokes in the delivery room.

In April, Blake announces that she is pregnant again. Inez is born in September! Among the people who visited the actress in the hospital were Robyn, Blake’s sister, and also one of her best friends, singer Taylor Swift!
In December, Blake and Ryan show up for the first time in public with their two daughters!

The couple returns to make us dream with the iconic looks on the red carpet, including the Met Gala.
2019
During the premiere of her husband’s film, Pokémon Pikachu Detective, the actress shows off her belly for the third time!
The actress gave birth during the summer. Their third daughter is named Betty, as revealed by a song of her friend Taylor Swift!
2020
Reynolds shared the secret to raising three daughters with Lively. “We don’t split up,” he said in an Access Hollywood interview. “I shoot movies and my wife shoots movies and we go travel all over the place and we just all go together. I think that’s been the best part of it is that we really don’t spend a lot of time apart. I get to spend a lot of time with my girls.”
He also revealed he “never in a million years would have imagined” raising all girls. “I come from all boys. I have three older brothers. I’m the youngest of four boys, so for me to have three daughters has been such a ride,” he said. “I love every second of it.”
2021
Reynolds shares the secret that’s made his nine-year marriage to Lively so wonderful. “We don’t take each other too seriously, but we’re also friends,” he told ET Online. “Falling in love is great, but do you like each other? That’s kinda the question you gotta ask yourself, you know, going into it. We’ve always liked each other. We grow together. We learn from each other. So yeah, I’m lucky to have a buddy in that.”
2022
The couple attended the Met Gala stunning everyone. Lively and Reynolds were chosen as cochairs for the 2022 Met gala alongside Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The couple continues to make us dream, even after 10 years! In July 2022, the couple will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary!
