Andrea Lewis and Pooch Hall star in “A Nashville Legacy” all-new Signature Mystery premiering Sunday, February 26 (7 p.m.ET/PT), on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. We at Survived The Shows had the pleasure of chatting with Amanda Love, who plays Olivia, about her experience in the making of the movie and what fans can expect. Check out the full interview below!
What’s the main element in Olivia’s character and the movie in general that fascinates you the most and drew you to join A Nashville Legacy?
The main element that made me want to join “A Nashville Legacy” is the amazing storyline! There are so many twists and turns, it’s really going to keep people on the edge of their seat! Not to mention you have an allstar cast, fantastic crew & a talented director backing the film, how could I not join!
Where are you and Olivia most similar and where most different as human beings?
I would say Olivia and I are most similar in the passion we share for the arts. She’s willing to do anything to make her dreams come true!
I don’t think we have too many differences besides being born in different eras! 😉
What’s been the biggest challenge for you in portraying Olivia?
The biggest challenge for me was making sure I embodied the spirit of Roz Ryan correctly. She is such a talented artist and it was an honor to portray a younger version of her a film!
To all the fans looking forward to watching the movie, how would you describe A Nashville Legacy in just 3 words?
The 3 words I would use to describe ‘A Nashville Legacy” are: Inspirational, Heartwarming & Unpredictable!
What can you tease about Olivia’s journey throughout the movie?
I can’t tease TOO much lol! But you are going to see Olivia’s life come full circle and watch her get the justice she deserves!
Throwing back to the origins of your career, how did the passion for acting come about in your life?
I have had a real passion for all things entertainment since I was a small girl! I started off dancing, (hip hop & jazz) and that moved into doing theater, which turned into me doing musicals. Before I knew it I was 18 and actively trying to get myself on any set possible to gain real-time experience. I started doing music videos consistently for artists all over the country, commercial work started rolling in & I was signed with my first talent agency.
I have not stopped ever since! I have driven upwards of 17 hours to be able to be on set, I am active on all casting websites and submit upwards of 100+ castings a day hoping to get my “big break”. I absolutely love what I do, I know I have so much to offer & I am going to achieve everything I desire with the hard work I put into this dream!
If you had to give some advice to people who want to pursue an acting career, which kind of advice would you give them?
My main advice to other aspiring actors would be to never give up, be able to take rejection and criticism without taking it to heart, make sure this is truly something you want to do. This should be a fun experience, enjoy the journey! At times life can get discouraging of course, things can get difficult but if you’re truly passionate about what you do, nothing can stop you. Apply yourself, go out & do the hard work for YOU because it all will pay off in the end. You can do anything you set your mind to!
