Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe, Geoff Gustafson and Rhiannon Fish star in Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters, a new, original movie premiering July 12th at 8 p.m. ET/PT. We at Survived the Shows had the incredible chance to speak with star Ian Collins, who teased Hallmark’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters and his experience in the movie. Check out the full interview in the video below!
Can you tell us a bit about your character in Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters?
I play Marlon Carter. At his core, he is an intelligent heart lover. He is a lover at heart. He’s somebody who the audience gets to see two versions of, which is really special. I get to play a 16 year old version of him, and then the older, more mature lawyer version of this character that we get to grow from a little high schooler. So he’s a really, really fun guy to play, actually.
What initially attracted you to your role in Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters?
When we were in the audition process for Marlon, the first thing that stood out to me was his love for love. I think that’s such an important thing when you’re playing in these movies, is you have to find that character’s passion and love. And his was an easy one because he just loves so easily and so strongly. So that was the first thing that stood out for me. And then the other was working with the cast. I know the cast very well. I’ve worked with Rhiannon Fisher on past movies, and I know Crystal Lowe very well. So it was the other part of, like, the community part. I was like, oh, I can’t wait to work with these guys.
