Jessica Sipos and Dan Jeannotte star in “Love on Danube: Royal Getaway” a new, original movie premiering Thursday, September 19th (8 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Plus. We at Survived The Shows had the pleasure of chatting with lead Jessica Sipos about her experience in the making of the movie and what fans can expect. Check out the full interview below!

Can you tell us a bit about your character in *Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway?

I play Ava, an art gallery manager who, rather than canceling her honeymoon cruise, decides to go solo. On the cruise, she meets a charismatic European passenger, who turns out to be a Prince in disguise. Their shared love for art sparks a connection that leads to unexpected romance and adventure. Ava is passionate about art, and her journey becomes an exploration of self-discovery and healing.

What initially attracted you to your role in *Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway?

I was drawn to Ava’s role because she’s such a relatable character who goes through a significant personal transformation. Her journey from heartache to finding a new kind of happiness is both touching and inspiring. Plus, the romance and art element added layers of depth and excitement to the role. Playing someone who experiences such a profound shift in perspective and love was compelling for me.

What do you think makes this movie so special and captivating?

This movie is special because it’s a story that captures the magic of finding love in unexpected places while embracing new beginnings. It combines a beautiful romantic storyline with the setting of the Danube River and the art elements provide a lush, captivating backdrop for the story. The chemistry between Ava and Joe from the start, along with the picturesque cruise setting, makes for an enchanting experience I hope viewers will love!

What do you hope audiences take away from watching *Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway?

I hope audiences take away a sense of hope and inspiration from Ava’s journey. The movie shows that even after experiencing a setback or heartache, there’s always an opportunity for new beginnings and love. It’s about embracing change, following your passions, and being open to unexpected adventures. If viewers leave with a smile and a renewed sense of possibility, I’ll be thrilled.

What was it like working with the rest of the cast on set?

Working with this cast was such a wonderful experience. It was a pleasure to work with such talented and dedicated individuals who shared a genuine passion for the project and whom all got along so well. We spent almost every evening exploring local restaurants together and it made for such a wonderful experience outside of filming.

What can you tease about your character’s journey?

As Ava embarks on her solo honeymoon cruise, she not only encounters a charming Prince but also reconnects with her passion for art and life. Her path is filled with moments of personal growth, romance, and the joy of rediscovering herself. I think viewers will be cheering for her.

What was your favorite scene or moment while filming *Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway?

I think there’s too many to list, in all honesty! Every location we shot at was absolutely breathtaking and often left me speechless. I found myself in awe and gratitude every day showing up for work in some of the most beautiful places in the world. From shooting in front of St. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna, to the Danube cruise itself the combination of the beautiful settings and wonderful cast and crew made for so many standout moments. It perfectly encapsulates the film’s romance and the connection that blossoms between Ava and Joe.

Can you tease something about your next projects?

While I can’t reveal too much just yet, I’m excited about a couple of new projects that are quite different from Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway. I’m looking forward to sharing more details as the projects develop, but I’m thrilled about the creative challenges they present.

Love on Danube: Royal Getaway, with Jessica Sipos, premieres September 19th on Hallmark Plus.
