The new Lifetime Thriller movie, Murder at the Country Club, premiered on the channel on Sunday September 24, 2023. We at Survived The Shows had the pleasure of chatting with star Kayla Gibson about her experience in the making of Murder at the Country Club and what fans can expect from the movie.
What initially attracted you to the role of Georgia in “Murder at the Country Club”?
Georgia is a high end escort to Frank who is the president of the Country Club. So what originally attracted me to the role of Georgia in this film was it’s a different character than I usually get to play. I don’t often play escorts, so she’s high end, so she’s classy, but it was a very fun kind of role to just delve into who this person is, how she gets what she wants. That was really awesome. And she’s a fun part of the story because she may be a clue to who killed Lisa Harkin.
What do you hope audiences take away from watching “Murder at the Country Club”?
I just want them to have a good time. It’s a really fun, really mystery who done it kind of movie. And I want them to watch this movie and just be like, yeah, that was a really fun hour and a half of my life.
