Lifetime Channel premiered new thriller movie “Danger Lurking under my Roof” on Thursday, August 10. We at Survived The Shows had the chance to interview star Kristi Murdock and discuss about the movie with her. Check out full interview below!
What initially attracted you to the role of Roxanne?
KRISTI MURDOCK: You know, I tend to gravitate towards a lot of the matriarchal, the mom roles in a lot of Lifetime movies. So I liked her power. She had a lot of power and she was very seriously protective of her family. She had a lot of strength about her, and I think that’s one thing that I love about playing a lot of these female roles is how much strength they have. And when they’re faced with the most dire of circumstances, that’s when you really see how strong they are.
What can you tease about your character Journey?
KRISTI MURDOCK: Her world gets completely turned upside down. So I mean if you can imagine someone who spends their day going to yoga and then going out to lunch and going shopping and then all of a sudden that is completely turned upside down. And someone who thinks that everybody likes them and how could this person not like me.
Then having someone not like you, you know so there’s so much that she’s just slapped in the face with that’s totally different from her everyday life. And I would say the biggest, the biggest thing at the end character journey is. She has a fight with someone and there’s a gun involved that Roxanne is holding. So that kind of gives a little little bit away, but not too much.
