UPTV ‘s movie “May the Best Wedding Win”, is all set to premiered on the channel on Sunday June 2nd, 2024 at 8/7c. We at Survived The Shows had the pleasure of chatting with lead actresses Alys Crocker about her experience in the making of May the Best Wedding Win and what fans can expect from the movie.
Can you tell us a bit about your character in May the best Wedding win?
This is actually a very interesting character because she goes a little bit outside of the normal, traditional character roles that you find in rom coms. She’s a little more intense, I will say is a nice way of putting it. She is very career driven, very goal oriented. She’s definitely a boss. And at the beginning of the movie, she has a beautiful character arc, but at the beginning, she really doesn’t seem to care about relationships or love or any of that stuff. It’s all about checking things off the boxes of her life, of what she wants to accomplish. But when you watch it, you will see she definitely grows. She learns a lot, and I think she starts to reevaluate her priorities.
What initially attracted you to your role in May the best Wedding win?
She is so unlike me. I love playing a character who is completely different than I am because it’s always more of a challenge. I’m very down to earth and I’m very like, I love love. I’m a hopeless romantic and I’m super goofy and silly, and she’s the antithesis to that in every way. She’s the complete opposite. She is so career focused. She doesn’t have time for love or relationships. And I’m the opposite. I’m like, I love love. That’s my priority is the people that I care about. So I think it was really fun to play something who’s so different than me.
