Can you tell us a bit about your character in Lies and ex wives: Secrets on Maple Street?

He’s not very straightforward. He has secrets. He is not, he’s not evil, but he’s not an angel. It’s sort of an, the director is named Paula L. And she’s a very, very smart, very fun woman. And we’ve worked together before. So from the very first day, she said, you know, we can find humor in this and we can find interesting things in this different than what, you know, just the cookie cutter, the average thriller. So my character is kind of funny, and he likes to, he messes around or he has messed around with women besides his wife, but he’s still married. And in some weird way, myself and Charaine, who was Charaine Haas, who played my wife, we managed to sort of make it feel like they could still like each other, even though they both know about him messing around. And she’s got some secrets, too. So it is secrets.
And the good thing about the movie is that not all of the secrets are revealed by the end of the, the movies. There’s three. And so they might make another few movies that tell those secrets, but then also maybe add some more secrets. It’s kind of fun. So I’m hoping that my character is fun and interesting and a little bit mysterious about why he does what he does.

What initially attracted you to your role in Lies and ex wives: Secrets on Maple Street?

The director, Paula. I’d worked with Paula before, and I think she’s great. And we get along fantastically well and we laugh a lot. And she’s extremely creative, and she also lets people, she’s very supportive of act, of acting and interesting ideas. So the character, you don’t, you never know what the, you don’t always know exactly what the character is going to be when you, when you read for a role or you see a role. But with this, it was more a chance to work with Paula again. And then we, we really had a lot of fun, and she let all the people on the cast have a lot of freedom.
