Hallmark ‘s movie “Betty’s Bad Luck in Love”, is all set to premiere on the channel on Saturday, January 20, 2023 at 8/7c. Let’s take a first look! We at Survived The Shows had the pleasure of chatting with star Meghan Heffern, about her experience on the movie “Betty’s Bad Luck in Love” and a lot more.

Can you tell us a bit about your character in Betty’s Bad Luck in Love?
I play Mya, Betty’s childhood friend. Currently Mya is preparing for her wedding day and nothing seems to be going her way.
What initially attracted you to your role in Betty’s Bad Luck in Love?
I really love working for Hallmark, so when this role came up of course I said yes. It was also a chance to work with a lot of the same crew (who I adore) from “Retreat To You”.
What do you think makes the action in the movie so special and captivating?
There is SO MUCH ACTION. I was shocked when I read the script. I think this movie will be exciting to watch for Hallmark viewers.
What do you hope audiences take away from watching “Betty’s Bad Luck in Love”?
Don’t be afraid to take a risk.
What was it like working with the rest of the cast on set?
I really loved working with Lacey. She’s such a grounded actor and she took playing Betty very seriously. I love when actors know their characters so well and advocate for them. Marco is so lovely and hilarious. Sadly we didn’t get to work that much together, hopefully on the next one.
What can you tease about your character Journey?
It gets “bumpy”
What was your favorite scene or moment while filming “Betty’s Bad Luck in Love”?
The camping scene. You’ll have to watch. Everything about the camping.
Can you tell us about any challenges you faced while filming “Betty’s Bad Luck in Love” and how you overcame them?
The weather was a bit wonky. It was very hot and then freezing and back again. Also, shooting on Vancouver streets downtown are always a bit of a challenge.
Change of subject, What have been some of the most memorable projects you have worked on throughout your career, and why?
I feel like I always say these two projects but they are still my favourite. The syfy show “Wynona Earp” (EARPERS) and the CBC gem series “ How to Buy A Baby” about a couple struggling with infertility.
Can you tease something about your next projects?
Make sure you check out the first episode of “ Wild Cards” on CBC and the CW. You may spot me!
