We at Survived The Shows had the incredible chance to talk with star Nancy Harding, who teased the movie and her experience in My Professor’s Deadly Secret. Check out the full interview below!
Can you tell us a bit about your character in My Professor’s Deadly Secret?
I play Susan, Helen’s Mother-in-law and Business Parter at the Ballet Studio. I am no-nonsense, business-minded and controlling.
What initially attracted you to your role in My Professor’s Deadly Secret?
I love playing entitled, judgmental characters that create conflict.
What do you think makes this movie so special and captivating?
The writing is brilliant with lots of unexpected twists and turns.
What do you hope audiences take away from watching My Professor’s Deadly Secret?
People who you least expect can have a dark side.
What was it like working with the rest of the cast on set?
This movie was filmed in Oklahoma City. I absolutely loved working with Director Ryan Francis and fellow actors Nicole Marie Johnson, Maddison Bullock, James Hyde & Kayden Tokarski. Ryan is an accomplished actor himself and supported my character choices. He made everyone feel appreciated. I’ve done three movies with Nicole Marie Johnson. She is uber talented and very sweet.
What can you tease about your character Journey?
Put it this way, her “journey” is cut short. lol
What was your favorite memory of My Professor’s Deadly Secret?
When the Casting Director Ricki Maslar called me and offered me the role (without auditioning). She knows my work and has always been so supportive. Love you Ricki!!!
Change of subject, What have been some of the most memorable projects you have worked on throughout your career, and why?
I played a Realitor in Disney’s “Cheaper By The Dozen” opposite Zach Braff. I had watched Zach in every episode of the sitcom “Scrubs” and had to maintain composure when talking to him on-set.
At Survived the Shows, we are big fans of Christmas rom-coms. What is your all-time favorite?
My favorite Christmas rom-com is “Crown Prince of Christmas” because I play the Mom. I loved working with Director Anthony Ferrante & Lead Actress Cindy Busby. Both are at the top of their game. You can watch “Crown Prince of Christmas” on Great American Family, PureFlix and Amazon Prime Video.
Can you tease something about your next projects?
I just worked with Director Haylie Duff on a Lifetime Movie called “Reboot Gone Wrong.” She offered brilliant suggestions to make my sit-com scenes hilarious.
“My Professor’s Deadly Secret” starring Nancy Harding will premiere on Thursday, October 17th on Lifetime Movie Network.
