Can you tell us a bit about the storyline of “A Heidelberg Holiday”?
SARA SOFIA: Dive into the enchanting romance of this film, where love blossoms against the backdrop of Heidelberg’s Christmas magic. Follow spirited Heidi on her magical journey to the Heidelberg Christmas market as she shares the charm of her meticulously hand-painted ornaments with the world. Amidst the glow of twinkling lights and the aroma of seasonal delights, our leading lady discovers a heartfelt connection with a local artisan. Setting the stage for a love story that unfolds amidst the charm of the holiday season.
What initially attracted you to the incipit in “A Heidelberg Holiday “?
SARA SOFIA: A beautiful love story shot at Christmas with the backdrop of Heidelbergs Christmas market… What was not to love. Growing up Christmas has always held a special place in my heart, and sharing time with loved ones and family is something I am used to. To then be proposed a script, with all of these elements in it, I knew I wanted to be a part of this movie.
What do you think makes the romance in the movie so special and captivating?
SARA SOFIA: The allure of the romance in this cinematic gem lies in its ability to immerse viewers in a captivating celebration of the holiday spirit. Picture a mesmerizing journey through the captivating city of Heidelberg, draped in the magic of Christmas traditions and the timeless beauty of its renowned castle, whose origins trace back to the 14th century. As our characters traverse the bustling Heidelberg Christmas market, adorned with twinkling lights and resonating with the joyous laughter of festivities, the film becomes a living, breathing testament to the essence of the season.
The city’s unique traditions, the tantalizing aroma of Christmas market delicacies, and the breathtaking backdrop of the castle all weave together to create a narrative that is not just a romance but an immersive experience into the heart of the holiday season. And let’s not forget the chemistry between our talented actors, infusing the story with a genuine and palpable warmth that will leave hearts a glow.
What do you hope audiences take away from watching “A Heidelberg Holiday”?
SARA SOFIA: “A Heidelberg Holiday” invites audiences into a world where families come together, lovers find solace, and friends create lasting memories on a cozy Christmas night. It’s a moment to cherish the beauty of Christmas, its festive charm and allows us to all slow down and live a magical experience, creating cozy memories on our sofas with our loved ones.
What was your favorite scene or moment while writing “A Heidelberg Holiday “?
SARA SOFIA: I sadly could not pick one. There are so many cute and magical scenes I could not name but one. Besides I would not want to ruin the journey for the audience ha ha
Can you tease something about your next projects?
SARA SOFIA: I’m currently working on a script that features a love story that takes place in Italy in the late 1950s. Get ready for an immersive journey into a bygone era, rich with romance and intrigue.
