Check out the full interview in the video below!
Can you tell us a bit about your character in A Greek Recipe for Romance?
So my character’s name is Cassia, as you said, which derives from the greek Cassiani, who was a medieval byzantine nun, poet and composer, which indicates a strong woman for her time. Something I can totally say about my character, Cassia. She’s actually a little schemer, if you know what I mean. She actually makes everything happen in the movie, even though it doesn’t seem so. She’s clever and strong and independent, and she’s also a very good friend who always comes up with the best ideas to help others. And that’s why they love her, actually. Well, even if you don’t get to see her much in the film, she’s actually the one who makes everything happen along the way. Yeah, I kind of love her for that.
What initially attracted you to your role in A Greek Recipe for Romance?
Good question. I guess these attributes of her character, she’s kind of a person that everyone wants to meet, to have around and have as a friend. She’s childhood friends with Theo, the protagonist, and she always knows what’s wrong with him. And, well, in this case, she tries to help him because she understands that he’s in trouble and, well, her plan works, so I guess that’s something I love about her. I. She always comes up with the best plans. And also, Abby’s mom’s business. She saves it from bankruptcy, in a way.
