Jack loves feeding people and looking after his community. He tries to be a better cook and a better friend every day.
What initially attracted you to your role in A Reason for the Season?
I like the reaction I get from people in my town when I tell them I’m doing a Christmas show. It’s heart-warming
What do you think makes this movie so special and captivating and what do you hope audiences take away from watching A Reason for the Season?
I hope that people are moved by the helpful community and the transformation of the lead characters. Holiday movies are for enjoying with family and friends. I am reminded of that whenever a stranger approaches me to say how much they liked a story.
What was it like working with the rest of the cast on set?
The set was fun and light-hearted. We all enjoyed finding the relationships and playing with the elements of the story.
What can you tease about your character journey?
Jack learns something about his own family while helping another family.
What was your favorite scene or moment while filming A Reason for the Season?
I enjoyed the moment that Evie realizes I’ve figured out her “secret identity.”
At Survived the Shows, we are big fans of Christmas rom-coms. What is your all-time favorite?
Believe it or not, My all-time favourite Christmas movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Not quite a rom-com, but it hits all the notes for me and I never hesitate to watch it when I can.
Can you tease something about your next projects?
I travelled to Halifax to play a lobsterman in Mauro Mueller’s 111, a story about the impact of the 1998 Swissair disaster on several families.
