The new Lifetime Thriller movie, Secrets in the Desert, premiered on the channel on Sunday October 1, 2023. We at Survived The Shows had the pleasure of chatting with star Kaleigh Ruller about her experience in the making of Secrets in the Desert and what fans can expect from the movie.
Can you tell us a bit about your character Charlie?
Throughout the film, you will see how Charlie is a hard working, driven, but sensitive young woman. She’s smart, just finishing her law degree, and cares about the people in her life deeply, and will go great lengths to show her care. She’s focused, mainly on her career and her relationship– two motivating factors for her in life.
What do you think makes the action in the movie so special and captivating?
This movie has some serious twists and turns, and genuinely will leave viewers on the edge of their seats. A lot of the high intensity action scenes are done in desert settings, which makes the story all the more interesting. I also think all the action is high-stakes because the audience will care about Charlie, will hopefully empathize with her, and want to be in the fight for truth and safety with her!
