Stacy Haiduk, Emily Miceli and Kristi Murdock, star in the movie ‘The Replacement Daughter’ premiering on Lifetime Channel on Sunday April 28th, 2024 at 8/7c. We at Survived The Shows had the incredible chance to talk with star Kristi Murdock, who teased the movie and her experience in The Replacement Daughter. Check out the full interview below!
Can you tell us a bit about your character in The Replacement Daughter?
My character is Liza and I play a single mom to my daughter, Jessica. In the film, I end up getting hit by a car and become comatose.
What initially attracted you to your role in The Replacement Daughter?
I was attracted to this movie because it allowed me the opportunity to play someone with extreme injuries. It was a challenge for me and I love taking on new challenges.
What do you think makes this movie so special and captivating?
I think there’s a level of surprise and psychopathy in this film that will be fascinating to watch. The manipulation that takes place between the characters will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat!
What do you hope audiences take away from watching The Replacement Daughter?
I hope audiences will give their mom a call if they can to tell them they love them!
What was it like working with the rest of the cast on set?
The cast on this film were extremely talented and warm! I adored working with Stacy Haiduk and Emily Rose Miceli. I also got to reunite with KJ Baker on this film after working with her on another film!
What can you tease about your character Journey?
A mother’s will to protect her children is strong!
What was your favorite scene or moment while filming The Replacement Daughter?
The accident scene was filmed last and it was brutally cold outside. So all the cast and crew in between takes would huddle together and wrap their arms and bodies around us actors to warm us up. It was my birthday that day so it just felt extra special to get all those warm hugs!
At Survived the Shows, we are big fans of Christmas comedies. What is your all-time favorite?
One of my favorite movies is ‘Just Friends’ with Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris. I have seen it a million times and I always laugh every time I watch it!
Can you tease something about your next projects?
I just wrapped up a SUPER fun romantic comedy. It was such a blast making that film and I loved every minute of it! I can’t wait for it to be released!
