Can you tell us a bit about your character in Killer Beat?
So Trinity is an inspire rapper. She has her best friend, Dante, who the two of them, their roommates, and, you know, they share with each other their dreams and their aspirations, and they’re always next to each other, motivating each other, you know, to go after whatever it is you want in life. They’re very funny, very creative. My character in particular, she is just in love with rapping and poetry and writing and things of that nature. So in killer beat, we just see her dreams kind of coming to fruition in this roller coaster, if you will.
What initially attracted you to your role in Killer Beat?
So how it happened was I got the audition from my management team, and they were like, hey, there’s this role for this rapper. She’s young, she’s fun, you know, read the script, see what you think of it. And as soon as I did the audition and got the size for it, I just fell in love. I was like, it feels like the role of Trinity was for me. Like, I didn’t have to try or pretend. It was just, like, very authentic and unique. I love the way in which she moved around the space, how she spoke, how her rhyme flow was as a kid, here and there, I just pretend to rap, like, freestyle, just for fun. So when I was like, okay, I’m feeling this, I just really fell in love with her character and knew I wanted to do it from the start.
