Morgan Bradley, Gabriel Panter, Bourke Floyd, Tryphena Wade and Andrew Steel star in the movie The Life I can’t remember premiering on Lifetime Channel on Sunday October 20th, 2024 at 8/7c. We at Survived The Shows had the incredible chance to talk with star Tryphena Wade, who teased the movie and her experience in The Life I can’t remember. Check out the full interview below!
Can you tell us a bit about your character in The Life I can’t Remember?
My character is Detective Claire Wise. She is the detective assigned to uncover the details of an accident that has taken the memory of the main character, Emma.
What initially attracted you to your role in The Life I can’t Remember?
I tend to get tapped to play strong, capable women who govern themselves according to wisdom and strong instinct. I was attracted to this character because she is very wise and that wisdom works out for everyone’s benefit.
What do you think makes this movie so special and captivating?
I think the film shows what happens when someone pays attention to their gut instincts. Both my character and the main character, Emma, paid attention to their gut and in the end, it worked in their favor.
What do you hope audiences take away from watching The Life I can’t Remember?
Great question! One big takeaway is “don’t ignore what your intuition is telling you”. That tiny little voice that tells you something doesn’t add up or isn’t quite what it seems; that voice is powerful and usually right!
What was it like working with the rest of the cast on set?
The rest of the cast was really great! It’s wonderful to be on a set where everyone is committed to getting the best shot and telling the story as authentically and honestly as possible. This film was my second time working with Gabriel Pranter so it was great to be able to work together again.
What can you tease about your character Journey?
Well, I don’t want to say too much, but my character has the opportunity to save the day, but finds herself caught in the midst of the drama. When you watch, you see how that works out for her!
What was your favorite scene or moment while filming The Life I can’t Remember?
There’s a fight scene that was pretty technical to film, but it was enjoyable to fight…which is something I don’t do in real life!
Change of subject, What have been some of the most memorable projects you have worked on throughout your career, and why?
I’d say the show I’m currently working on is quite memorable. It’s called The Promised Land (more on that later 😉
But also, in 2022 I shot my first lead in a feature film. The film is a thriller called The Geechee Witch and it was a lot of fun to step into the world of thriller/horror.
I also produced a short film that I wrote and starred in called Solomon’s Mood. It’s a love story based on some of the texts of Song of Solomon. Producing something that I also wrote was such a huge learning experience. It also gave me the opportunity to show myself the way I’d like to be seen and tell a story that’s important to me.
One last project I’ll mention is the Broadway musical, The Lion King. I was in that show for 10 years. I had the opportunity to tour around North America as well as do the show on Broadway. That was a dream show for me so it’s pretty memorable!
At Survived the Shows, we are big fans of Christmas rom-coms. What is your all-time favorite?
Well, I actually did a Christmas film a couple years ago. It’s called The Case of the Christmas Diamond. It’s not a rom-com but a lot of fun!!
Can you tease something about your next projects?
I’m currently in St. George, Utah working on Season 1 of The Promised Land which is the story of Moses and the children of Israel after they’ve crossed the Red Sea. It’s a comedic show in the style of The Office or Abbott Elementary and it’s also Biblical. I play Zipporah, wife of Moses. This role is so fun because Zipporah (or Zippy, as she’s affectionately known) is so full of life. I like to think of her as a colorful hummingbird, always buzzing with energy. But like many of the roles I play, she has a lot of heart and wisdom to share. Currently, the pilot episode of the show is available on YouTube: https://youtu.be/HSI04-1oLwg?si=BRUr7-f7NrPf_QU7
“The Life I can’t remember” starring Tryphena Wade will premiere on Sunday, October 20th on Lifetime Channel.
