Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg are one of Hollywood’s cutest couple: let’s find out how they met and everything about their love story!
2012
Though they crossed paths years earlier, Chung and the One Tree Hill alum didn’t start dating until early 2012. “It really was like missed opportunities, missed timings, different cities and then finally we ended up in the same city together,” the actress told Us exclusively in 2017 as she reflected on her relationship.
2013
Greenberg proposed to his then-girlfriend during a visit to her California hometown in December 2013. At the time, Chung hinted at the momentous milestone in a blog post, telling her fans that “crazy, beautiful things went down over the holidays.”
2015
Greenberg and Chung wed in Santa Barbara, California, on Halloween in 2015. The pair hosted a three-day celebration with a welcome dinner the night before the nondenominational ceremony — costumes required.
“It was so much fun planning it and everyone says it goes by so quickly, which it absolutely does,” Chung told Us, adding that she thought her husband would make a “great dad” someday. Greenberg, for his part, called his wedding “one of the best days of my life for sure!”
2016
In February, the real-life couple brought their love to the big screen in 2015’s “Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong” — but were reluctant to put their connection to the test. “To be honest, we were a little hesitant,” Chung told Us ahead of the film’s debut. “It’s daunting to do a movie together as a couple. But we thought it was so cool to roll the dice, go to Hong Kong and shoot this little movie.”
After one year of marriage, the couple adopted a rescue pup, Ewok.
2017
In an interview, the couple admitted they almost broke up. “You, like, freaked out and broke up with me,” Chung teased her husband in an interview with Us. “But it was only like a five-day split. You missed me too much.”
2020
When the coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S. in early 2020, Greenberg and Chung were prepared for the worst. “I gotta tell ya. There’s no one I’d rather be secluded with,” the October Road actor joked in an Instagram Story. The Grown Ups actress, however, wasn’t impressed. “We have two months of this,” Greenberg teased. “Will our marriage survive?!”
They documented their journey across the country during the coronavirus pandemic. The pair kicked off their trip in New York City in August with Los Angeles as their final destination.
2021
In October 2021, the One Tree Hill alum shared a video via Instagram of himself lying in bed with twin babies. “We got double the trouble now @jamiejchung,” he captioned the post.
2022
The couple has their hands full with the twins. Chung gushed about her husband on his first Father’s Day. “Our boys are so lucky to have you as their father. You’re a constant rock, a moral compass, and lead by example,” she wrote via Instagram in June 2022, sharing a video of Greenberg’s sweetest moments with their twins. “You were raised right, you have so much love to give and you always show up and work your ass off. Our kids are only 8 months old but having you as their father makes every moment better. Even if we’re running on fumes, with zero sleep you still find a way to savor every moment of our boys lives. I love you, deeply respect you and look forward to raising good humans with you.”
In July, they also had their first date night since the twins were born
“We just went on our first date,” Chung gushed. “When his parents were in town and we went to go see a movie and, like, that’s quite luxurious, but even when the kids are napping, we find the time to connect.”
“When the kids go down, we find the time to check up on each other, to make sure that he’s doing OK, that I’m doing OK. I feel like therapy helps me a lot to work out all of my issues and it’s something that I don’t wanna pass on to my kids. I think we’re all a constant work in progress. Lot of work in progress.”
