Also in 2008, Capshaw tried to get into Grey’s Anatomy by auditioning for the role of Sadie Harris, a freshman former friend of Meredith’s back in college. She too in that case she was not chosen and the part of her went to Melissa George. Not bad, because Jessica Capshaw’s chance eventually came with a perfect role for her, despite the fact that she almost stopped believing she could please the producers of the series:
“They kept saying they really loved me and I was like, ‘If they really loved me, I would have a part on the show'”
that the Grey’s Anatomy star revealed to TvGuide a while ago. And she actually really liked her by Shonda Rhimes and her associates, as a month after her audition for Sadie she received a three-episode offer to play Arizona Robbins.
Grey’s Anatomy says goodbye to Arizona Robbins in 2018
With the finale of the fourteenth season of Shonda Rhimes’s medical drama, it is time to say goodbye to the character played by Jessica Capshaw, who left the scene not by the will of the actress, but due to the non-renewal of her contract, flying to New York, leaving intend a rapprochement with Callie.

The blonde actress commented on the release of her character with great melancholy, even on her social networks:
“For the past decade, I have had the rare privilege of not only playing Arizona Robbins but also of being madly in love with it. Arizona is kind, smart, funny, insightful, bold, playful, proud and good at her work. She was one of the first regular LGBTQ characters to be represented on a national network. Her impact on the world is permanent. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to bring her to life and for the life she brought in me. I am sad to see her go but she consoles me the idea of her that she will continue to live incessantly in our consciences and in our imagination. Shonda, thank you for letting me ride this incredible roller coaster ”.
