Joe Cruz (season 2-present, recurring on season 1), played by Joe Minoso. Firefighter of Rescue Team 3. He had an affair with Zoya, Otis’ cousin, even going so far as to propose to her but she lets him go back to Russia. His brother is part of a gang, but thanks to his help and collaboration with the police, he manages to get out of the game and is forced to leave Chicago. He was Otis’ roommate and only in Season 4 he joins Squad 3. His leader is Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) with whom he has a very good relationship.
