What’s the main element in Devon’s character and the movie in general that fascinates you the most and drew you to join Picture of Her ?

HALEY VICTORIA HUNT: The thing that fascinated me most about Devon is her sense of self. She is extremely confident yet really self conscious all at the same time. I was drawn to Picture of Her because it hasn’t been done before and it’s a beautiful journey.

Where are you and Devon most similar and where most different as human beings?

We are most similar in what we love and our passion. We are different in how we present ourselves to the world.

What’s been the biggest challenge for you in portraying Devon?

The biggest challenge in portraying Devon was getting her attitude just right. Devon is a young starlet. Getting to that place was extremely fun but you have to make sure you don’t take it too far either.

To all the fans looking forward to watching the movie, how would you describe Picture of Her in just 3 words?

I would describe Picture of Her as fresh, romantic, and honestly,\ beautiful. (That’s 4!)

What can you tease about Devon’s journey throughout the movie?

Devon’s journey is very different from everyone else’s. I’d like to think her journey ends with self love and growth.

Talking about the environment on set, how would you describe your experience while filming Picture of Her and do you have any fun anecdotes to share?

The experience on set was incredible. All of the other cast I interacted with was so supportive and genuinely amazing human beings. The set was just really fun and open.

If you could choose any other character from Picture of Her, apart from Devon, that you would have loved to play, which one would it be and why?

This is a tough one! All of the characters are complex and would be so fun in their own way. I really love Aunt Dody’s character and her love for her family and how she finds beauty in the little things.

Did you take anything from set, any prop or piece of costume, to remember your experience as Devon?

The thing I took from the set was my chair label that had my name, Devon’s name, and the original name of the film!

Throwing back to the origins of your career, how did the passion for acting come about in your life?

I started really young doing extra work and stand-in work. I believe I was around 4 years old. My brother and sisters all joined in, but I was bit hard by the acting bug, and all these years later, set is still my favourite place to be. I love finding humanity and connecting. Hopefully, making someone out there feel a little less alone.

Among all the roles you’ve had the chance to play throughout your career, is there any particular role you’re mostly fond of?

They have all been really different! I honestly can’t say that there’s one that I love more than the other. They all have little pieces of me and last year I got a chance to really explore different characters so I am just excited to see them come to life.

What can you tease about your next projects?

I have a few fun projects coming out this year. One is a love story and one is a journey of learning more about one’s self. They are both extremely funny and have a wonderful cast and I can’t wait to share more in the upcoming months.

A Picture of Her, with Haley Victoria Hunt, premieres Saturday, March 25 on Hallmark Channel. Get a preview below!
