What’s the main element in Kim’s character and the movie in general that fascinates you the most and drew you to join Destined at Chrismas?

The main element about “Destined at Christmas” I was originally drawn to was how two strangers would go to such lengths to find each other again after being separated and having only known each other for a brief period of time.  I found that to be very romantic and charming.

As we know quite well so far, Hallmark movies and shows always feature well-shaped and relatable characters – Where are you and Kim most similar and where most different as human beings?

Kim is kind-hearted and thoughtful, something I feel I relate too and aspire to be more like. Kim is also pretty cool and collected, whereas I see myself being a little more quirky and goofy.

What’s been the biggest challenge for you in portraying Kim?

You know, there really wasn’t a super challenging moment when playing Kim. Mainly because I got to work with such a talented cast and crew who made moments that could have been challenging, comfortable instead.

To all the fans looking forward to watching the movie, how would you describe Destined at Christmas in just 3 words?

Christmas movie magic!

What can you tease about Kim’s journey throughout the movie?

Although Kim has an instant connection with Theo and has high hopes of seeing him again, there might be someone from her past that enters the picture.

Talking about the environment on set, how would you describe your experience while filming Destined at Christmas and do you have any fun anecdotes to share?

Working on the set of “Destined at Christmas” was a fantastic experience. So much respect and support among the cast and crew. Casey Elliott, who plays Theo, is actually a long time friend of mine so being able to play opposite of him was a lot of fun

If you could choose any other character from Destined at Christmas, apart from Kim, that you would have loved to play, which one would it be and why?

If I hadn’t played Kim in the film, I would have loved to play Vickie, Kim’s sister-in-law. Weixin Le, who plays Vickie, does such a fantastic job with her character, I think the audience will really enjoy Kim and Vickie’s relationship in the movie.

Did you take anything from set, any prop or piece of costume, to remember your experience as Kim?

I didn’t take anything of Kim’s from the set to remember my experience by but I did buy a doll for my daughter from a store we filmed at.

Throwing back to the origins of your career, how did the passion for acting come about in your life?

My passion for acting came from the movie musical “Funny Girl” with Barbara Streisand. I fell in love with it and it became a wonderful tradition I shared with my mom. My daughter was actually named after one of the songs in the film, “Sadie, Sadie”.

Among all the roles you’ve had the chance to play throughout your career, is there any particular role you’re most fond of?

Of all of the roles I’ve played throughout my career, my fondest role is my current role as a mother. I’ve loved being a mom to my baby girl Sadie Jane. It is exhausting and rewarding all at the same time. She actually makes a small appearance in the movie toward the end!

If you had to give some advice to people who want to pursue an acting career, which kind of advice would you give them?

You will face a lot of rejection in this industry but learn from those experiences and use them as fuel to motivate you to become an even better version of yourself, both as an actor and as an individual.
