First Look at Only Murders in the Building Season 3! – TEASER & RELEASE DATE

Season 3 of Only Murders in the Building is coming out soon on Hulu, but the network and its stars are revealing more and more details. Let’s take a first look at Only Murders in the Building Season 3!

Season 3 Premiere Date Revealed by Steve Martin and Martin Short at Comedy Show

Steve Martin casually dropped the release date for the third season of “Only Murders in the Building” during his “You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!” touring show alongside Martin Short.

At one point, Martin stated, “Catch the new season August 8,” which was followed by Short responding, “Our show is like Steve trying to pee — it streams for 33 minutes.”

New cast members

Jesse Williams – plays documentarian with a particular interest in the case that Selena Gomez’s Mabel Mora, Steve Martin’s Charles Haden-Savage and Martin Short’s Oliver Putnam are working on.

Meryl Streep

Ashley Park – plays Kimberly, a Braodway ingenue.

Paul Rudd – portrays the character of Ben Glenroy, the lead actor in Oliver Putnam’s (Martin Short) Broadway play who falls dead on stage just as the curtain flew up signaling the show to begin. Just seconds prior to that, Ben had a peculiar interaction with Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin) that was intentionally vague, according to series co-creator John Hoffman.

Only Murders in the Building has added Jeremy Shamos, Linda Emond, Wesley Taylor, Don Darryl Rivera, Allison Guinn & Gerald Caesarto to its Season 3 cast in recurring roles. Details regarding their roles are being kept under wraps.

Michael Cyril Creighton has been upped to series regular on Hulu’s hit comedy Only Murders In The Building for Season 3.

Only Murders stars drop clues teasing season 3 wedding

Fans awaiting the next installment of Hulu’s twisty serial comedy got a little tease Tuesday when its stars all posted selfies showing off their finery. First, Gomez posted pics on Instagram, beaming in bridal white (complete with dainty gloves and funky white combat boots) and declaring it “just a regular day at work.” NBD.

Martin, meanwhile, took to Twitter, showing off an image of himself in a dashing tux posing with Gomez in her gown, alongside the caption “guess what just happened!” And because you cannot have Mabel and Charles without Oliver, Martin also posted a pic of Short, looking quite dapper in what appears to be a black velvet suit (accessorized with silk scarf!), standing alongside a glowing Gomez.

Social media immediately recalled Father of the Bride, the 1991 comedy starring Martin as the nervous dad of a bride-to-be (Kimberly Williams Paisley). And in a case of art imitating… other art? Short also appeared in the film as the manic wedding consultant with the unplaceable accent, Franck.

Selena Gomez Shares Love for Meryl Streep as ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 3 Wraps Filming

Selena Gomez, Meryl Streep and the entire Only Murders in the Building season three cast have officially left the building.

The Grammy-nominated singer took to her Instagram Thursday to not only share that filming has wrapped for the latest season of Hulu’s murder-mystery comedy, but to express her appreciation for the Oscar-winning actress.

“Well we wrapped season 3 of @onlymurdershulu -I’m not sure I have enough words to explain just how beautiful this season has been,” the Spring Breakers actress wrote. “It has been deliriously hilarious, challenging and for me, an absolute dream. I’ll post more soon. But I’ll I leave it with the woman I adore, look up to and love.”

‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season Three “Takes a Turn,” Editors Tease

Editors Shelly Westerman and Payton Koch talk about season two of Hulu’s Only Murders In The Building — including cutting the “killer reveal party” and working with guest stars like Shirley MacLaine, Amy Schumerand next season’s victim, Paul Rudd — in a new episode of The Hollywood Reporter‘s Behind the Screen podcast. “It takes a turn,” hints Koch of what’s to come in season three.

This season, one new resident at the Arconia was Amy Schumer as a fictional version of herself. “She was wild,” Westerman says of actress, revealing that she ad-libbed more than most of the cast. “She would crack Steve and Marty up.”

Paul Rudd plays actor Ben Glenroy, who exchanges some tense words with Steve Martin’s Charles before collapsing on stage during a performance in the final moments of the finale.

“They gave us a few variations on the different lines,” Westerman says of the key moments before Rudd takes to the stage. “They basically had two sets of lines that they wanted to try out. And within those two sets, Steve and Paul gave us some variations on each tonally. And then we would cut all of those and then work with [showrunner John Hoffman] to kind of pick which one he thought would fit.”

Meryl Streep joins the cast in season three.

“They have the best time on set,” says Koch. “It’s just like a bunch of friends hanging out and having fun. And watching her deliver these lines, it’s so beautiful. I mean, she’s Meryl Streep.”

In this episode of Behind the Screen, the editors also delve into cutting the season two finale’s “killer reveal” of the murderer. “It’s not just comedy. It’s drama; it’s the little spooky bits,” Westerman says of the series. “You get a taste of everything.”

Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman Tease Possible ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Musical Episode in Season 3

Is there going be a musical episode of “Only Murders in the Building” in Season 3?!

While it hasn’t been officially confirmed that Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez will be singing and dancing at some point, I recently got a tease from musical impresarios Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. “We’ve worked on the next season of ‘Only Murders in the Building,’” Shaiman said. “We’re not allowed to say anything more than that, but you could probably do that math.”
