Jeremy Renner Spotted for First Time After Snowplow Accident
In photos obtained by DailyMail.com, Renner was photographed for the first time since January, smiling while riding shotgun in a car in Los Angeles on Monday.
It looks like he isn’t letting his recovery process or injuries get him down.
Last week, Renner posted a new video that shows off his recovery regime.
In the video, Jeremy is seen working out his left leg on a stationary bike. He seems to be pedaling with the help from a hand strap. The actor captioned the video, “Whatever it takes.”
He also shared an image of Mark Nepo’s book “The Book of Awakening,” a fireplace visible in the background.
The Marvel actor wrote, “Mental Recovery Too.”
Jeremy Renner Walks On Assisted Treadmill Amid Recovery

Jeremy Renner is showing off his healing progress. On Sunday, he shared a video from a recent physical therapy session. In the clip, posted on his Instagram Story, the 52-year-old walks on an assisted treadmill.
“Now is the time for my body to rest and recover from my will,” he wrote over the video.
Renner also gave insight into his healing process, sharing he’ll do “whatever it takes” to recover both physically and mentally.
Last week, the actor shared a sweet note from his nephew that left him a little emotional.
“I am very lucky because my uncle is hawk-eye (which is 1 of the Avengers),” Renner’s nephew’s hand-written note read. “I am also very lucky that my uncle is alive from his accident.”
Renner replied to the kind words on Instagram, writing, “Love my little man. Bless you Auggie.”
It is unclear if the nephew who wrote the note is the one he prevented from being harmed at the time of his accident.
Following Renner’s post, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference about their investigation into the accident.
“After successfully towing his personal vehicle from its stuck location, Mr. Renner got out of his PistenBully to speak with his family member.” noted Sheriff Darin Balaam. “At this point, it is observed that the PistenBully started to roll. In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempts to get back into the driver seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it’s at this point that Mr. Renner is run over by the PistenBully.”
While the investigation is ongoing, the sheriff noted they do not suspect foul play. “We believe it was a tragic accident,” Balaam said.
Renner was air-lifted to the hospital on Sunday morning after an accident while plowing snow at his home near Mt. Rose Highway in Nevada. Deputies from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office were called to the residence at 9 am on New Year’s Day. And worked with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to help transport Renner to a local area hospital.
Jeremy Renner Was Trying to Save Nephew When He Was Run Over by Snowplow
According to a redacted Washoe County Sheriff’s Office incident report, filed Friday and obtained by CNN, the Marvel star recalled to investigators while hospitalized that he towed his nephew’s truck off of his driveway and into the street on New Year’s Day after it was stuck in the snow. The trouble arose after the snowplow, a PistenBully snow groomer, started “sliding sideways” and then “began to roll down the hill”. spurring Renner to jump out of the machine, he told officials. However, his nephew was in the path of danger.
“Once he was off the Pistenbully, he realized it was heading directly toward (his nephew),” the report reads, per CNN. “He feared the PistenBully was going to hit (his nephew), so he decided to attempt to stop or divert the PistenBully”. According to CNN, citing the report, Renner attempted to access the snow groomer’s cab by climbing onto the moving track, but was “immediately pulled under the left side track.”
“The Pistenbully rolled over him and continued down the road,” the report states, per CNN. “He laid on the ground and focused on his breathing while (his nephew and others) rendered aid to him until medical personnel arrived on scene.”
In the report’s conclusion, it is noted that Renner had exited the snow groomer when it began to slide without setting the emergency brake.
As for mechanical issues, they have not been ruled out as factors in the accident considering the brake indicator light was not functioning.
According to the report. “Although the PistenBully had some mechanical issues, it is believed based on our mechanical inspection that the parking brake would keep the PistenBully from moving forward. When Renner attempted to stop or divert the PistenBully to avoid injury to (his nephew), he was pulled under the vehicle by the track and run over.”
On Jan. 16, Renner revealed to fans that he was home, two weeks after he was airlifted to a hospital and underwent chest surgery. He later spent his 52nd birthday in the hospital.
