Starz renewed the wrestling drama Heels for Season 2 in November 2021, and yet new episodes have not premiered. Stephen Amell, in his latest appearance on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast, gave an update on the new season of Heels, assuring fans that Season 2 will be released at some point in 2023.
According to Amell, the delay results from Lionsgate splitting from Starz, which they acquired back in 2016 for $4.4 billion
He also said: “I know there are meetings that are starting to happen about writing for Season 3″.
Despite the delay, Amell isn’t too concerned about the show’s future. In fact he said: “I would be worried if I didn’t think the season was spectacular”.
Heels also stars Alexander Ludwig, Kelli Berglund, Chris Bauer, Mike O’Malley , Allen Maldonado, James Harrison, Alison Luff and Mary McCormack.
