Worth the wait! Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris’ love story is reminiscent of a modern-day fairy tale, complete with a dream home and business in Austin, Texas.
The Supernatural alum Jensen Ackles and the Christmas Contract actress Danneel Harris met in the early 2000s, but it wasn’t until they became costars in 2006 that their relationship turned romantic.
Jensen’s role as Dean Winchester on the hit CW series, which ran from 2005 to 2020, however, didn’t always make things easy on the couple, who tied the knot in 2010.
“I often joke with my wife that she’s a single mom of three with a sugar daddy that lives in different country,” the former Dark Angel actor exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2019 ahead of the series’ final upfronts presentation in New York. “It’d be nice to actually be her partner and give her a little help and be a dad and see my family.”
Jensen noted, however, that his wife has a soft spot for his CW character. “Sometimes I’ll say something at home and I’ll say it in ‘Dean voice,’ as it’s known in the house, and my wife is like, ‘Stop using the Dean voice.’ [I go], ‘Alright. Sorry honey,’” he exclusively told Us in July 2019. “But then there’s times where she’s like, ‘Maybe you could use the Dean voice.’”
Following Supernatural’s end, Jensen has been more present at home, having created a production company with Danneel in October 2020.
“Warner Bros. has been my home for the better part of two decades. The relationships I have acquired there are some of the finest and most supportive I could have hoped for in this industry,” he said in a statement at the time. “Danneel and I are thrilled for the opportunity to continue to grow as artists and now as producers under the mentorship and guidance of Peter Roth and the whole WBTV team.”
The couple’s first producing project, The Winchesters, is a spinoff of Supernatural, which Danneel guest-starred on alongside her husband in the past. The show is set to premiere in fall of 2022.

Jensen and Danneel both worked on The CW in the early 2000s on Supernatural and One Tree Hill, respectively, which is when their paths first crossed.
2006
While filming Ten Inch Hero together the duo started dating. Danneel played flirt Tish in the movie, which hit theaters in 2007, while Jensen portrayed rocker Priestly.

Danneel confirmed the arrival of the couple’s first child, daughter Justice Jay, via Twitter. “We are happy to announce the birth of our precious baby girl,” she gushed. “She was born happy and healthy on May 30th.”
2014
After meeting in Los Angeles — and with Jensen spending time in Canada while filming Supernatural — the pair moved to Austin, Texas. “We had a heart to heart on where we wanted to raise our family, and we didn’t have to be in California because I was shooting in Vancouver and I could commute pretty much anywhere,” the Days of Our Lives alum told Forbes in May 2018 about the move. “That opened up the idea of living in a different city, and then we started thinking about what cities would fit us and who we are, and Austin pretty much topped the list because it also brought our families closer to us.”
December 2016
The lovebirds welcomed twins — son Zeppelin Bram and daughter Arrow Rhodes — on December 2. “They were born early yesterday morning. Everyone is doing great! #twinning,” Jensen wrote via Instagram at the time.
June 2017
Jensen poked fun at the Baby Boot Camp actress via social media, joking, “Never let @danneelackles512 suggest “sharing” a shaved ice. Ain’t gonna happen. Ah well, Happy Saturday friends.”

The couple opened Family Business Beer Co. with Jensen’s brother in-law Gino Graul just outside of Austin, Texas.
February 2018
The actress made her Supernatural debut alongside her husband during the “Devil’s Bargain” episode, playing Sister Jo/Anael. She reprised the role on four more episodes from 2018 to 2020.

“To my wife, my queen, my love, my daily hero … Happy Birthday! The duo announced the launch of their production company, Chaos Machine Productions, revealing via Instagram that they signed an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television Group.

“Happy Father’s Day J … there is no one else I’d rather have in the driver’s seat,” Danneel wrote via social media in honor of her husband. “We love you so much and can’t wait to celebrate when you get home!”
The pair confirmed that their production company would be helming Supernatural spinoff, The Winchesters, at The CW. “We look forward to beginning the journey with these beloved characters, given to us by the one and only Mr. Kripke,” the former One Life to Live actress teased via Instagram. “We are going back to 1972 … cars, music, peace, love and monsters.”

The couple took their three kids to Warner Bros. Studios in celebration of their new joint venture with the studio on The Winchesters series.
