This Is Us: Kevin ‘s mystery romance, Miguel’s health and Rebecca’s journey

This Is Us has a lot to explain, starting from Kevin ‘s mystery romance during Kate’s wedding. Last night’s episode also showed Miguel and Rebecca’s helath problems.

The person revealed at the end of this mystery will be Kevin Pearson’s true love

Fans can start breathing again, because Kevin ‘s mystery romance on This Is Us will have its answers sooner rather than later: next week! It will also give an answer to Kevin’s endgame and true love: who is it going to be? Sophie, Cassidy or the wedding singer, Arielle?

“I’d say that the end of 613 certainly sets up a mystery that will be answered sooner than later,” last night’s episode’s writer Jon Dorsey said. “It’s safe to assume that the person revealed at the end of this mystery will be Kevin Pearson’s true love and that his romantic journey will have concluded. All three suitors presented in 613 are certainly viable options.“

Kevin has had a lot of interesting love interests throughout the show’s life. Sophie is certainly one of them, Cassidy is certainly one of them. And we’re introducing a new potential love interest in this wedding singer, Arielle, who is a friend of Phillip. What I can say is they are all potential suitors. Obviously fans will understand why in terms of Sophie and Cassidy — and hopefully they’ll understand why Arielle is a potential suitor who could be perfect for Kevin as well [once] they’ve watched these two episodes…. I would say: With This Is Us, always expect the unexpected.

Rebecca’s journey with Alzheimer

“I hope that this show engenders more of a dialogue around dementia and Alzheimer’s in general,” Mandy Moore said. “It’s a terrifying diagnosis and helping to humanize and destigmatize what it means to find yourself or a loved one in this particular battle is a big deal. We need more compassion, understanding and funding for research. The reality is this disease is going to continue affecting millions of us around this country and the globe, and I hope our show can be a beacon of community and model one family’s response to it, especially for those who know this fight all too well.”

Rebecca speaks to Jack in this episode: what about Miguel?

“I can’t speak for everyone, but that’s one of the saddest collateral of all of it. It feels like Miguel is cast aside at times, like the second fiddle. But it’s not necessarily true. People can have multiple soulmates. And there’s an argument that that’s the case here. Another thing that the doctor was mentioning is, just because Rebecca might be in a period of thinking she’s talking to Jack, it doesn’t mean that she can’t still be loving Miguel in that moment, if that makes any sense. It’s this weird swirl. I’m sure that Miguel knows that by talking to Rebecca’s doctors. He’s a smart person who is able to accept that and embrace it. But also, it is exhausting,” Dorsey said.

Miguel’s own health issues: fans don’t have to worry

“I’ll say that we’re not really setting up some kind of major disease. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head; it’d be a little too much, a little hat-on-hat kind vibe. I would probably take his word for it in the episode. He says that the trembling is just a natural reaction to that stuff. It shouldn’t be worrisome. It’s just, you know, people getting old. When you get to a certain age, sometimes you shake a little bit and it’s not anything to necessarily be worrisome. Surely it could be a sign of something else, but that’s not what we’re going for here. In this episode, he’s fine. He’s just aging, and with age comes deterioration.”
