Let’s get to know Alicia von Rittberg better!

Alicia Gräfin von Rittberg was born in Munich, December 10, 1993 to the noble Rittberg family and always grew up there together with her three brothers.

She studied economics at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen, dropping it in favor of an acting career that began in 2000 in the children’s program Dingsda for German television network KIKA. Over the years she has appeared in a number of television shows, including Die Rosenheim-Cops in 2005 for ZDF channel. From 2008 to 2009 she came to success with Meine wunderbare Familie.

In 2009 she made her film debut in Romy (a biographical film about the life of Romy Schneider). In 2011 she stars in Hindenburg – The Last Flight, a film inspired by the 1937 LZ 129 Hindenburg airship disaster and produced by RTL and ORF 2. She wins the Bavarian TV Awards for her performance in Und alle haben geschwiegen in 2013. In 2014 she plays the role of Emma in Fury (directed by David Ayer)alongside Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman and Shia LaBoeuf. She will appear in the thriller The Type Traitor, directed by Susanna White. The latter is based on the book of the same name by John Le Carré

As of today she is starring in the new STARZ-branded historical drama, Becoming Elizabeth – The Woman Who Would Be Queen, as a young Elizabeth I. The 8-episodes limited series is being released exclusively on STARZPLAY on June 12 with one episode per week to be released.
