50 shades of Grey wins over Star Wars for Max Minghella!

Max Minghella, who plays the controversial character of Nick Blaine, Commander and former driver in The Handmaid’s Tale universe, is a romance lover just like us at Survived the Shows.
In fact, he claimed to be a true romance lover, since teenagehood. His father, director Anthony Minghella is best known for his movies such as The English Patient and Mr Ripley’s Talent. In fact he saw the cuts for both movies and he literally fell in love with the genre.
Nick Blaine, the romantic hero, in a destroyed world is the perfect character for Max Minghella!
Minghella doesn’t deny that Nick Blaine’s character is perfect for him. Playing a romantic hero in a world without hope is exactly what he does.

“I like that stuff, right? In the pilot, I think Nick only had a handful of lines. It wasn’t clear that this is what the character would turn into. And it’s quite fortunate for me personally, because I’m not a massively sort of intellectual person in my real life. I love Fifty Shades of Grey. That’s like my Star Wars. It suits me to play a character like him.”

Max Minghella gets mistaken for a certain Shadowhunters and Chicago Fire actor…

In Canada, however, Nick’s character certainly didn’t give him popularity. He said he had been mistaken several times for a very beloved Shadowhunters star, and this gave him many advantages.
Although he claims candidly that he doesn’t know who they are talking about it seems clear to both the series’ fans that almost certainly is mistaken for Alberto Rosende, who plays Simon on Shadowhunters. Rosende has now joined the cast of Chicago Fire as firefighter Blake Gallo on season 8.
