One of the most beloved love stories to both international and italian TV fans is that between Richard Flood, new entry in the cast of Grey’s Anatomy for two seasons now in the role of Cormac Hayes, and Gabriella Pession, historical protagonist of the Rai fiction ‘La Porta Rossa’ alongside Lino Guanciale. How much do we know about their fairy tale? Let’s throwback the best moments!
Their first meeting
Richard and Gabriella crossed paths with each other on a television set. It will be on the set of the American television series Crossing Lines, a crime television series created by Edward Allen Bernero and aired from 2013 to 2015, to burst love between the two actors.
“At first we couldn’t stand each other” – revealed the actress in an interview with Verissimo- “then love broke out. He’s the one who taught me what trust is”.
Baby Giulio is born
In 2014, the love between Richard Flood and Gabriella Pession was enlivened by the birth of little Giulio.
Their wedding
Gabriella and Richard got married in September 2016, with their little child taking their wedding rings to the altar. The two said yes in the wonderful setting of Portofino, then celebrating at Brown Castle in the company of a hundred guests.
Pession stated in an interview with Vanity Fair that before she met him, she did not think at all about marriage: “My parents never married”, she says, “when Richard asked me I reset everything. It was necessary, rational and spontaneous. On the morning of the wedding I called two friends to go swimming in Portofino, so I forgot that they were waiting for me for make-up. For me it was natural. He was already my home”.
Today, four years later, the two are very happy and in love. They’re always on the road with little Giulio between America, where they spent the lockdown, and Italy, where Pession has recently returned to shoot the third season of La Porta Rossa.
