For our section on TV series recipes, in this appointment we’re talking about a simple dish but with a touch of personality: Hawaiian bread based on Netflix TV series, Lucifer.
It’s Chloe who introduces the dish in the storyline, in a crucial moment for her own storyline, that is episode 207 My Little Monkey. The episode is entirely centered on her and on the relatioship she had with her father, murdered in service using various flashbacks.
Now let’s see how to make hawaiian bread.
Ingredients:
250 gr. of Flour 0
60 ml of warm whole milk
40 gr. of butter
60 gr. of sugar
1 whole egg
60 ml of pineapple juice
7 gr. of dehydrated brewer’s yeast
40 gr. candied pineapple
In a bowl dissolve the yeast on the lukewarm milk, add the flour, pineapple juice, egg and candied fruit. Mix the mixture until you get a smooth dough.
Leave the dough to rest for a couple of hours in a warm place and covered with a film.
Prepare a buttered and floured bread mold.
We’re using Monfish mold for bread cassettes found on Amazon here.

After the dough has risen, gently insert the mixture into the mold lining it well. Put to rest for another half hour.
Bake at 180 a.s. for 45 minutes. After the cooking time, optionally, to make the outer edge more crisp, remove the mold and put back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Let it cool and cut into slices.
For perfect slices we recommend using the Purenjoy bamboo mold to slice that you find on Amazon here.

If you want to make a salty one as seen in My Little monkey episode of Lucifer (2×07) sauté two slices of bread to be stuffed with a poached egg and cheddar.
